Lynn Bain spent two decades building businesses on two things: careful financial discipline and genuine service. Flyleaf Hospitality is where she brings both to a new kind of retreat, one made for women who love to read.

Her background

Lynn began her career as a CPA with Ernst & Young, working in assurance and advisory on audits, due diligence and financial analysis across many industries. She then spent nearly eight years at J. Taylor & Associates, a Fort Worth management consulting firm, advising organizations on strategy, operations and financial performance.

In 2014, she co-founded Boxwood Hospitality. It began with a single event venue and grew into one of the largest third-party event venue operators in Texas, with a portfolio of exclusive properties, a full-service catering company and a café in downtown Dallas.

Lynn led the business from long-range financial planning and investor relations to hiring and building the team. That team earned hundreds of five-star reviews, and Boxwood was featured in publications including British Vogue, Martha Stewart Weddings and Texas Monthly. [CONFIRM: Lynn's current wording for the Boxwood years, since the LinkedIn dates show her time there ending in December 2025]

Why Flyleaf

[DRAFT for Lynn to rewrite in her own voice. Every personal statement below needs her approval, and the bracketed detail needs her own words]

I have spent most of my career making things run well for other people, first as a CPA and then building Boxwood Hospitality. What I loved most was the moment a guest walked in, looked around and relaxed because everything had already been thought of.

I also love to read, and I know how rarely I, or the women around me, give ourselves a full day with a book. [PERSONAL DETAIL: a book, a season or a moment that made you want to build this] We are connected all the time, we carry a lot, and quiet has become something we have to schedule.

Flyleaf is my answer. A flyleaf is the blank page at the front of a book, before the story starts. I want every retreat to feel like that page: a few days that belong to you, in a beautiful place, with someone else handling the details. I hope you will join us.

What guests can count on

  • Experience. Thousands of events run, with the same care applied to a retreat of 20. [CONFIRM: "thousands of events" is from the pitch deck]
  • Attention to detail. A personal welcome, a pre-trip call, and small touches throughout the stay. [CONFIRM: the pitch deck lists these as the plan]
  • A love of books. Lynn writes about books on her Substack, and reading shapes how each retreat is built.

Read Lynn’s Substack [CONFIRM: the Substack's display name. The link itself is approved]

We built Flyleaf for the woman who has not had a quiet week in a long time. [PLACEHOLDER: Lynn to approve or rewrite]
